Elie Tahari was in party mode at his presentation on Thursday. His showroom felt a lot like a crowded bash, with models (some who were the designer’s friends, family and staff) visibly enjoying themselves, sipping Champagne and, a rarity during fashion week, actually smiling. “It’s about love, it’s from the heart,” said Tahari, who personally oversaw this collection after his executive creative director, Kobi Halperin, left late last year.
